Three steps. Then it disappears.
Setup takes two minutes. After that, Filed lives in your Chrome toolbar: one click to save, or zero clicks if you set domain rules.
Install
Add Filed to Chrome. One click. No account on our end.
Connect Notion
Authorize once. Filed creates your Captures database and eight ready-to-use workflow templates: Reading List, Video Library, Recipe Box, Book Tracker, Research Inbox, Job Tracker, Wikipedia, and Blank. Or connect databases you already built. Under 60 seconds.
Press ⌘⇧Y
The page is in Notion. Right properties filled. You never leave the tab. Pro: the Visual Workflow Builder maps any element on any page to any Notion column.
One click. Web to Notion.
Filed captures the page on the browser side and lands it in Notion with the right structure. Same content, both sides of the boundary.
The Filed extension captures the YouTube video page, including the full transcript.
Your Notion workspace, pre-built.
Filed ships with eight workflow templates configured in your workspace the moment you connect. Switch between them from the toolbar. No setup, no templates to duplicate.
All templates are pre-configured in your Notion workspace. Free plan included.
Filed doesn't just log the URL. It builds the page.
Every save writes to two places: the database row for organizing, and the page body for reading. The content becomes part of your Notion workspace.
I collect everything. Always have. Tabs, screenshots, quotes, things I want to read later.
The tools that existed either saved a link and lost the context, or made me use four different apps for four different things. Nothing was elegant. Nothing made the saved stuff actually findable later.
I knew exactly where I wanted everything to end up: one tool, not five, that does it cleanly. So I built Filed.

Common questions.
No. The free Notion plan is enough. Filed creates the databases in your workspace automatically. No Notion upgrade needed. No account yet? Get 1 to 3 months of Business free if you have a custom domain email and no existing subscription.
Yes. When you connect your workspace, Filed creates a Captures database with the right properties, views, and filters already configured. You open Notion and it's ready. No template duplication, no property setup, no manual steps.
Chrome, Firefox, and all Chromium-based browsers: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, and Vivaldi. Safari is not yet supported.
Yes. When you create a custom workflow you can point it at any existing database in your workspace. The Free plan gives you 1 custom workflow. Pro gives you unlimited.
Your captured content is never stored on our servers. It goes directly from your browser to the Notion API. Filed keeps only what it needs to run: your email, your plan status, and anonymous capture statistics (capture type and country, never URLs or content). Two Pro features process content transiently through our servers: AI summary (article text) and PDF import. Neither is retained. If Notion is temporarily unreachable, your saves queue locally and sync when the connection restores.
URLs and bookmarks, full article text (extracted and formatted as Notion blocks), text selections and quotes, web page screenshots (viewport, full page, or a drawn region), PDFs of any page, color palettes extracted from any site, and YouTube videos with transcript. The side panel lets you compose a save from multiple blocks at once.
Yes. On any YouTube video page, Filed saves the title, channel, URL, and the full transcript formatted as a toggleable Notion block. Transcript availability depends on YouTube. Not all videos have captions. No audio leaves your device.
Yes, with a Pro plan. Select text, choose a color, and Filed injects a visual highlight on the page while adding the passage to your save. Multiple selections across the same page are combined into one Notion save. Free users can save a single text quote without visual highlighting.
Yes, on Pro. Open the side panel, add an audio block, and record a memo. Filed transcribes it in real time using your browser's Web Speech API. The audio file uploads directly to Notion; the transcript lands as a callout block. No audio ever touches our servers.
Databases. Filed is built for structured Notion databases with properties, not freeform pages. Each workflow maps to a specific database and fills specific properties automatically. If you prefer pages, you can point a workflow at a page-type destination.
A workflow tells Filed: save to this Notion database, fill these properties with these values. The premade Captures workflow is configured for you. You can create custom workflows for different databases (a Research workflow, a Reading List workflow, a People workflow) and switch between them in the toolbar. Free: 1 custom workflow. Pro: unlimited.
A no-code tool that lets you map any element on any webpage to any Notion property. Open a page, hover over the element you want to capture, click to get its selector, then assign it to a Notion column. No code required. Pro only.
Rules that automatically switch to a specific workflow based on the website you're visiting. Example: every time you're on arxiv.org, Filed switches to your Research workflow automatically. No manual selection each time. Pro only.
The Captures database, pre-configured in your Notion workspace. URL saves, full article extraction, screenshots (snap, full-page, and region), PDF capture, YouTube saves with transcript, text quotes, color picker, image picker, element picker, history, undo. One custom workflow. Multiple Notion workspaces. Unlimited saves.
Unlimited custom workflows, domain rules, Visual Workflow Builder, text highlights with colors and formatting, Pro annotation tools (blur, step markers, spotlight; basic editor is free for all), audio memo with transcription, and color palette extraction.
Full Pro access for 14 days. No credit card required. You activate it whenever you're ready. No deadline on the offer. One trial per account. After it ends, Pro features are gated and extra workflows are locked (not deleted).
If you subscribe at $4.99/month before September 15, 2026, that rate is locked for life as long as you stay subscribed. New subscriptions after that date start at $6.99/month.
Yes. Basic annotation tools (rectangles, ellipses, arrows, text labels, and crop) are free. After taking any screenshot, click Edit on the screenshot chip in the side panel. The annotation editor opens as a fullscreen overlay. Pro unlocks blur, step markers, and spotlight.
Your draft is saved automatically. If you close a tab or restart the browser while filling in the side panel, Filed restores the draft when you return to the same URL with the same workflow selected. Nothing is lost. A Discard button is always available if you want to start fresh.
Yes. Hover any image on a page with the image picker (toolbar icon), then click to save it directly to Notion as an inline image block. Works on photos, diagrams, charts, any image rendered on the page.
⌘⇧Y (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+Y (Windows) saves the current page instantly with no toolbar. ⌘⇧H activates highlight mode. To open the toolbar, click the Filed icon in your Chrome toolbar.
Yes. As a Notion Ambassador, I can offer new Notion accounts up to 3 months of the Business plan free. You need a custom domain email address and no existing Notion subscription. Claim the offer here.
