By installing or using Filed for Notion ("Filed", "the extension", "the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Filed for Notion is a Chrome browser extension that lets you save web content to your Notion workspace. It consists of:
- A Chrome extension distributed via the Chrome Web Store
- A cloud backend handling authentication (Notion OAuth) and billing (LemonSqueezy)
- Direct integration with the Notion API on your behalf
To use Filed, you need a Google Chrome browser (or compatible Chromium browser) and a valid Notion account. Filed is an independent product; it is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Notion Labs, Inc.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Filed. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Your account
You connect Filed to your Notion workspace via OAuth. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Notion account
- Any actions taken through your Filed account
- Ensuring your use of Filed complies with Notion's own Terms of Service
You may disconnect Filed from your Notion workspace at any time from the Filed settings page. Disconnecting removes Filed's access to your workspace.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Filed offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed through LemonSqueezy. By subscribing, you agree to LemonSqueezy's terms as well as these Terms of Service.
Free plan
No payment required. Available indefinitely subject to these terms.
Trial
14-day full Pro access. No credit card required. One trial per account. At the end of the trial, your account reverts to the free plan automatically.
Monthly subscriptions
Billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds (see Refund Policy).
Lifetime plan
A one-time payment granting permanent access to Pro features. Not a subscription. Subject to the Refund Policy.
Filed reserves the right to change pricing for new subscriptions with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions at a grandfathered rate remain at that rate for as long as the subscription stays active.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Filed to capture or distribute content you do not have the rights to
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the extension (beyond what open-source components permit)
- Use Filed in any way that violates applicable law or Notion's Terms of Service
- Attempt to circumvent billing, feature gating, or access controls
- Use Filed to harass, harm, or defraud others
6. Intellectual property
Filed for Notion and its branding, code, and design are owned by Virgile Gouala. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of the extension or its components.
You retain full ownership of all content you create and save. Filed makes no claim to the content that passes through the extension.
7. Availability
Filed is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service depends on the Notion API, Chrome extension infrastructure, and LemonSqueezy; disruptions in any of these may affect Filed's functionality.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Filed is provided without warranty of any kind (express or implied), including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Virgile Gouala shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Filed, including loss of data or loss of business, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Total liability in connection with Filed shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using Filed at any time by uninstalling the extension and disconnecting your Notion account.
Filed may terminate or suspend access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.
11. Changes to these terms
Filed may update these Terms of Service. If changes are material, we will notify you by email with at least 14 days' notice before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of France.
