Save a YouTube video
Goal: Save a YouTube video with metadata and full transcript to Notion. Time: Under 10 seconds
Step 1: Navigate to a YouTube video
Open any YouTube video page (youtube.com/watch?v=... or a Shorts page).
Step 2: Use the Save video button
When Filed detects a YouTube video, a Save video button (or Save short for Shorts) appears in the toolbar between the workflow selector and the Instant zone.
Click it. Filed saves the video instantly.

What lands in Notion
- Video title as the page title
- Description and channel name
- Video thumbnail as page cover
- The video embedded as a playable block in Notion
- Full transcript (Pro): appended as a collapsible "Transcript" block
Disabling the transcript (Pro)
If you don't want the transcript, turn it off in Filed settings → Capture → YouTube transcript. The video metadata and embed still save. Only the transcript is skipped.
